With promotion to the Premier League already secured for the 2025-26, plans have been drawn up to expend the capacity.
With a current capacity of around 40,000, the West Yorkshire club plan on beginning by expanding the West Stand before working on the North Stand this would bring the stadium capacity to 53,000, but there will be further plans in place should further expansion prove necessary.
Once plans are approved by local councillors, it’s expected that the first phase of the project would begin as early as September 2025, with expectations to be completed before February 2026.

Whilst it may be deemed necessary by Leeds United Football Club, it certainly is a brave move. Many football clubs have fallen in the trap of modernising their current stadium, or constructing a new one. Money that could have been spent on the team which, as a result, has ended in relegation.
The likes of Coventry City, Leicester City, and Bradford City, are all fine examples of clubs investing in stadia which resulted in relegation from the Premier League. Having tasted top flight football once again, we’d assume that the Whites plan on surviving the drop in their first season and cementing a dynasty in the Premier League.
